Important:
Being able to listen to the Bible read out to you should not take the place of you reading the scriptures for yourself. There a lot of benefits in reading the scriptures yourself.

But this is a helpful alternative that will be useful in a number of situations. For instance, on those days where you are in a hurry and don't have enough time to read through a lengthy chapter during your daily devotion (and at other times as well).
